An independent home-remodeling ideas and information site
Artistic Remodelings (artisticremodelings.com) is an online resource for homeowners who are thinking about a remodel. We publish planning guides, ballpark cost tools and design inspiration for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions and outdoor spaces, with a particular interest in the creative side of remodeling: color, tile, murals and mixing vintage with modern.
We are not a contractor. This site does not perform remodeling work, provide estimates for specific homes, or hold a contractor's licence. Nothing here replaces advice from licensed professionals who can see your home in person.
Step-by-step articles on budgeting, permits, choosing a contractor and planning kitchen and bathroom projects. Browse the guides.
A ballpark cost estimator and a timeline planner to help you set a starting budget and schedule.
A gallery of concept images to help you describe the look you want. The images are AI-generated illustrations, not photos of completed projects.
Answers to common questions about costs, timelines, permits and working with contractors. Read the FAQ.
Cost figures on this site are rough national ranges intended for early planning only. Prices vary a great deal by region, the condition of your home, the finishes you choose and current labor and material markets. Always confirm costs with written, itemised quotes.
When you are ready to hire, verify each contractor's licence with your state or local licensing board, ask for proof of liability and workers' compensation insurance, check references, and get the scope, schedule, payments and warranty terms in a written contract.
